LICENSED MARRIAGE AND FAMILY THERAPIST
Michelle Hoffman is a Licensed Family Therapist. She has worked in several areas of mental health including residentials, in home therapy, and therapeutic day schools. Michelle works with any type of family, and has extensive experience with families who have teenagers or young adults who are chronically dysregulated and/or unsafe. Michelle is trained in Sensory Motor Arousal Regulation Treatment (SMART), Collaborative Problem Solving (CPS), Solution Focused Therapy, and Trauma. She uses a number of modalities during session including books, videos, movement, and humor to create and support healthy family dynamics.
In addition to her work as a family therapist, Michelle provides training to parent or school groups on topics such as school refusal, suicidality, self-harm, and dysregulation. She is also a trainer for the Family Connections program through the National Educational Alliance for Borderline Personality Disorder (NEABPD).
